This blog is all about keeping motherhood pretty and practical. That is why I love this planner so very much. This will be my third consecutive year of using it. You can read my thoughts on the 2018 planner in this post –> This is Hands Down the Best Planner for Moms!

This year, I reached out to the team at In the Leafy Treetops to see if they would be interested in sending me the 2019 planner for review.
They were more than happy to do so, for which I am very grateful because it is so incredibly beautiful, just as it has been in previous years.
If you’ve been wondering if this is the planner for you, then keep reading for a full and honest review.
A Planner for Moms
Something that seems obvious but is important to note is that this planner is truly designed with moms in mind. It is family focused and is packed full of just about everything you can think of when it comes to running a home.
I love that it is compact enough to fit into a purse and that it is spiral bound so that it is easy to use and write in.
Whether you have one child or five, there’s a bunch of room to include your family and all their activities. Not only that, but you’ll find pages designed specifically with you and your needs in mind. So often as mothers we are giving to everyone else, so it is nice to have something just for ourselves.
Motherhood isn’t very glamorous and it can be very easy to push aside the beautiful in order to make way for practicality. With this planner, you don’t have to compromise on either. You will find a place for planning all of your life’s activities within stunningly designed pages.
I personally am a huge sucker for quotes so the stunning designs and quotes really appeal to me. And did you know that you can switch out the covers?! I’m really tempted to buy one for each season.
At the start of the planner, you’ll find pages that allow you to record important information such as your family doctor, regular medications, annual appointments, and important dates. There’s even space to plan for the year ahead.
Each month is started with a quote and then a page where you can set some goals for family, spiritual life, friends, etc. As you continue, you’ll find a calendar for the month and then a week by week breakdown.
The weekly view gives you room to customize your days and record things in a way that works for you.
At the end of each month, you’ll find pages that can be used in just about any way you’d like. You could meal plan, list grocery items, etc. They’ve even included a space to fill out a monthly budget. And then there are also lined pages for you to jot down notes or whatever you’d like.
The New Year, Thanksgiving, back to school, summer break, Christmas, etc, etc, etc. If you’re looking for a planner that will allow you the opportunity to plan for special occasions all within one place then this is it.
My personal favorite is the Christmas section. In the past, it has been part of the December section, but for 2019 they’ve given Christmas it’s very own tab.
I love having the opportunity to write down gift ideas throughout the year and plan accordingly.
And then there’s the home and family section where there are pages for each member of the household. You can plan birthdays, jot down wants and needs, and keep a record of things that you want to work on.
Not only that but there are pages dedicated to keeping your home a place of order and comfort as well as being prepared in case of emergencies.
How I Use Mine
The first year I had one of these planners I wasn’t yet blogging so my use of it has definitely evolved over time. I use it for both personal and business purposes and so far it is working really well.
To be honest, I don’t generally use the full calendar view very often as I refer to the wall calendar by my desk for most things.
However, it is the week-by-week view where I dump all of my plans, to do lists and appointments. I like to use different colored markers for different things. I even use colors based on how urgent the items are.
The column on the left is what I love to use for my ‘to do’ list for the week.
At the bottom of the week spread page is where I list my meals for the week.
Near the end of each month’s section is another calendar view, although it is in list form. In the past, I’ve used this to meal plan. These days I use it to plan out my blog posts for the month. It’s nice to be able to keep it tidy and allow my week view to remain fairly uncluttered.
As I’m sure you can tell from this review, I love my planner. I can’t see myself using anything different in the foreseeable future.

Until next time!
Hi! I’m Christine. I am a former registered nurse, turned stay-at-home mom, turned work-at-home mom!
Motherhood has always been my passion and blogging has only added to that and given me a creative outlet to share about the things I love.
As my blog has grown, my desire to share the knowledge of what makes my life less stressful, simplified, and more fulfilled has become one of my driving forces.
I have a heart for mothers that feel as though they are just existing from day to day and are longing for more. You can find out more about me and my family over on my ‘About Me‘ page.
