Jack’s March 2018 Summary (3 Years Old)

March is a busy month for us. It holds our wedding anniversary, my mother’s birthday, and Jack’s birthday. We’re not into throwing big birthday parties except for milestone birthdays (i.e. 1, 13, 18, 21, etc). So, for Jack’s 3rd birthday we just had a quiet day. I also thought that for this month it would be fun to do a little interview with him. So, you can check that video out above. 🙂
Exactly the same as last month.
- 7 DWT (Desired wake time)
- 7:30/8 Breakfast
- 9-10 Independent Playtime
- 10:30 Snack
- 11:30/12 Lunch
- 1-3 Nap
- 3 Snack
- 5:30 Dinner
- 7 Bed
We only had some sleep disruptions at the end of the month. This was because Jack got a tummy bug. He woke once, several nights in a row to throw up. However, after he was sick (and cleaned up), he went back to sleep no problem.
Pretty status quo. Like sleep though, his appetite was disrupted at the end of the month due to sickness. He went off almost all food. So unlike him! He didn’t even want his Easter eggs.
I don’t think I had to implement rest time at all this month. Jack went back to napping every day. He would sometimes take 45 minutes to fall asleep, but he always fell asleep.
As I mentioned, we kept Jack’s birthday really simple this year. He was still spoilt (as you can imagine with so many grandparents/aunts/uncles/etc nearby). I did a ‘tractor’ cake for him, which literally consisted of a store-bought cake, some jello, and a few tractors piled on top. He loved it though and was so excited to blow out the candles.
We try to keep it to one big present for birthdays and then a few smaller, more practical ones. Here are several of the ones we got for Jack this year.
Until next time!
