About Me

Hi! I'm Christine...a stay-at-home mum to two tiny humans. My constant focus is having my home run as smoothly as possible. Keeping two kids alive, and maintaining my sanity is also a priority. Most Saturday nights, you can find me hunkered down watching Grey's Anatomy, and hopefully nibbling on some chocolate.

  • I’ve been majorly MIA on Instagram, but I promise there’s a very good and valid reason. We are thrilled to be expecting baby #3! I have been so sick but have improved tremendously. Check out the link in my bio for a fun q+a about how things are going, when this bubba is due, etc. ☺️ Happy Monday, friends! ❤️
  • Have you seen my post on the blog today? (The link is in my profile) I shared my thoughts on the phrase ‘breast is best’. Have a read and tell me what you think. ☺️
  • I’ve been wanting an orchid plant for ages and today I finally got one. It’s sitting pretty on our bathroom window sill. Anyone else made silly happy by pretty blooms? 🌷😍
  • Are you signed up to my newsletter? If not you’re missing out on freebies like this beautiful printable. Sign up via the link in my bio before 8pm tomorrow and it’s yours!
  • #throwback to when my little boy really was little and not quite as destructive as he is these days. He’s going to be 3 next month and as cliche as it sounds, I honestly don’t know where the time went. How old is your oldest child?
  • So grateful to have a printer again. We were without one for a good few months and oh did I miss it! I’m a sucker for pretty, inspiring quotes so that’s one of the first things I printed off. ❤️ Happy Monday, friends. ☺️
  • Like so many of you, my heart has been heavy since I heard the news about the latest school shooting in the States. Each time I hear about one my resolve becomes that much stronger to be the mother God has called me to be.
You see, so many fear for their loved ones because of events like this (and rightly so!). We hold our babies a little tighter and pray to God to place His angles around them. But, you know what? Fear is not the thing I feel the most. I don't ever want to parent out of fear (2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.) Instead, I feel determination and resolve. I can only do so much to protect my children in this world. God is ultimately in control, and my children ultimately belong to Him.
Therefore, I am determined and resolved to work on what I can control. 🔹I am determined to put work into my marriage so my children have a secure and loving home. 🔹I am determined to take care of myself so that I'm not trying to pour from an empty vessel. 🔹And I am determined to do the right thing and to do my utmost to raise my children the right way.
When I feel like a 'mean mum' for disciplining my toddler or saying 'no' for the millionth time in a day, I'm reminded of the 'why' behind my actions.
As a Christian, discipline is so much more than correcting behaviour. That is part of it, but the greater and most important part is to direct my children towards the Saviour and show them their dire need of His salvation.
And their salvation is the ultimate goal. That's what I want for them so that they may never reach the brokenness and depravity that would cause a person to walk into a school building and gun down innocent children.
I cannot stop people from carrying out heinous crimes. I do not have ultimate control over my children's safety. However, I can (by the grace and power of God) parent my own children to be the ones to make a stand and do the right thing in a world that has so many wrongs. "If you want to change the world, go home and love your family."
