8 & 9 Week Pregnancy Update!

Here’s my 8 & 9-week pregnancy update!
Hard. Challenging. Those are the two words that aptly describe the past two weeks. Yes, there were some really exciting, fun times, but I was so very sick that I cannot help but feel exhausted looking back.
I did get to have my dating ultrasound, and also meet up with my midwife. See my post on how to pick a great midwife –> HERE!
All day, every day. Although, it did get better towards the end of my 9th week. Finding food to eat that would hit the spot instead of making me feel worse was the challenge I faced on a daily basis.
Salt is my goto. Not particularly healthy, but it has gotten me through in the form of ramen noodles and soy sauce.
Still tired. Still in bed by 9 pm every night.
- Tummy Cramps
The WORST! In my 9th week, these kicked in every evening after dinner. It was awful. It also made sleeping really challenging. Sometimes they happened during the day, but for the most part, it was in the evenings.
It was super uncomfortable this week, and I had to be creative about which clothes I wore so as to ease the discomfort. Generally speaking, it was at its worst in the evenings.
I would have it here and there, but nothing major.
- Back Pain
Lower back pain was there most days this week. I’m not sure if it was from poor posture or because of everything else that’s going on.
